WFH Gift Ideas (Part 1)

Spread the love

With Christmas not too far away I thought it might be a good idea to take a look at some WFH gift ideas for those of us who are currently working from home.

Its tricky at the best of times finding the perfect gift for people but under current circumstances its proving much more difficult. I’ve searched through hundreds of products on-line to find those which I think would make an ideal gift for that person who has set up a home office or is currently working from home. So read on to find out my top 10 WFH gift ideas (5 in this article and 5 over here)

1) Everyone Loves Coffee, Right?

Here’s a great idea. It’s a heated pad for a coffee cup. Some of them are fairly cheap and to be honest somewhat lacking. This one has a temperature gauge and comes with a matching stainless steel mug. Not designed to heat up a cold drink, just to ensure that cup of coffee (or tea / hot chocolate / mulled wine) stays warm much longer. The stainless steel mug comes with its own lid to help retain heat and similar mugs can be purchased separately so you always have one available even when one is in the dishwasher.

The Cosori Coffee Mug Warmer keeps the coffee warm for all those times you got engrossed in that spreadsheet (it DOES happen, trust me) and you forget about your coffee, nothing worse than a mouth full of cold coffee….

Pro’s – Nicely packaged in an easy to wrap box and comes with its own mug / digital control.

Con’s – More expensive than some others that are available.

2) Stand and Deliver

One thing I have noticed working from home is that I keep running out of USB sockets. Once I have my monitor set up, I have a USB camera, phone charger and a small fan for when it gets warm. Add to that an external drive and you have to start deciding what you can do without while you access the hard drive or remove that while you are charging your phone. Well this monitor stand has four additional USB sockets handily built in to the stand itself, genius.

Although not the most glamorous of gifts the Vaydeer Monitor Stand would be an ideal present as it raises the monitor up to the perfect ergonomic position, gives you a heap of extra desk space underneath it as well as the additional USB sockets. Its also made of aluminum so will support a large monitor up to a 32″ screen.

Pro’s – Perfect multi-purpose monitor stand / added USB ports .

Con’s – Possibly not the WOW factor present they may have been looking for

3) You Can’t go Wrong with a Candle.

Everyone like a nice smelly candle (depending on the smell, obviously) so here’s a really nice set of four natural soy scented candle gift set. Perfect for burning in the home office giving off the perfume of lemon, lavender, Mediterranean fig and Spring flavor. Scents are designed to relieve stress and relax the body so perfect for that Monday morning. The metal tins the candles come in are really attractive and, once the candle has finished can be used to store paper clips, cork board tacks or whatever nic nacks. Burning for approximately 25 – 30 hours they’ll last a while too.

Con’s – You may pick this for that one person who doesn’t like candles

4) For Friday at 5pm

Gin seems to be very popular at the moment especially flavored gins and so this would be perfect for someone who loves those exotic flavored gins that seem to be popping up everywhere. This make your own kit contains twelve glass tubes containing herbs and spices to create your very own unique flavors. It also comes with two special glass bottles for mixing and stainless steel funnel and filters. Included are various recipes for creating flavorsome gin. All that is required is vodka and a wait of two days before consuming.

5) Shed Some More Light on the Subject

As the dark days start to appear having a good light in your home office is a must and this one not only provides varying levels of eye friendly light but gives you an additional USB for charging a device as well as wireless charging your phone. It comes with five separate levels of brightness as well as five different color temperatures so your bound to find the right light. It can also be used as a bedside light (once everyone eventually goes back to work or summer returns) and even has a timer so that it will switch itself off after 30 or 60 minutes.
